Fiverr is one of many micro-recruiting sites that emphasize “employees” or “sellers” rather than “customers.” That means sellers are pitching one-off services and jobs they’re willing to do in exchange for (in Fiverr’s case) $5.
Webmasters and other clients regularly browse these fast-paced freelance job boards looking for good deals and alert sellers when they want to buy that seller’s services. Usually the turnaround time is pretty quick, so you can produce that content for a client and make a few bucks in a matter of hours.
Part of the appeal of Fiverr and similar sites is the breadth of offerings. You can pay $5 to have someone put up a flyer for your cause in their city, train you to be a better chess player, have someone create Facebook likes or other forms of social proof for you , or even make your “Birthday Happy” chicken sing. You name it, it’s there.
One of the best ways to make money with Fiverr is by writing gigs. Webmasters are always looking for content for their sites, and connecting with talented writers on Fiverr is a great way for them to get 100% unique content across most niches at lightning speed and on a budget.
Fiverr has really picked up over the past few months as more and more customers and merchants have discovered it and started using it regularly. This means more competition is needed to stand out. Here are some Fiverr tips to help you make money on Fiverr:
Unique – Offering something unique that not many or no one does is a quick way to get noticed because you are ‘the one’. think about what your talents are
Great copywriting – A great headline will captivate people while browsing. You don’t have to make it super short; long titles are fine as long as they perfectly convey what you want to work on. In your description area, make sure you also use good text, including basics like perfect grammar and spelling. This is obviously essential when promoting your writing services.
Great Graphics – People will see your photo as much as your title, make sure it catches the eye so they have to look at you and then check out your services.
Use keywords — keywords; you just can’t get away with it. Most people who understand the type of job they are looking for will actively use the search bar, so be sure to use keywords in your title and description that you expect someone looking for a job to use.
Have Proof – If you have some evidence to show people who are considering hiring you that you can get the job done and exceed their expectations, you can really drive a sale or a big chunk of it. I show viewers my article stats, click-through rate, etc. so they can see I’m legit.

Post to multiple sites – keep in mind that there are many other micro job sites besides Fiverr such as TenBux, GigHour, Gigbucks, and FittyTown to name a few. Each has a different payout level, so spread out to create maximum visibility for your brand.
For example, if you’ve built a loyal customer base on Fiverr, you can upgrade to a site where you get paid more for the same work and bring your customers to you. Some sites, like Gigbucks, let you set different prices, so figure out how much your time is worth and go for it.
